Hello my name is Damian. I am a member of the Hear Our Voice project. Over the coronavirus crisis, I have been doing some baking. I’ve been keeping busy at home.

I have baked rocky road with my carer. The way I made this was by melting the chocolate in the microwave, crunching up some digestive biscuits and stirring them together. When it was blended together I added marshmallows. My carer then put it in the fridge.

I have enjoyed doing baking during this period. Baking has helped me to cope. I’ve had to get used to a new way of life and thinking of coping strategies. I have felt a bit frustrated but I’ve managed to find ways of getting through this. My next bit of baking will be making a vanilla sponge cake. I’ve bought all the ingredients for it and I’m looking forward to making it soon.
